Who we are
FutureVision.Live is an online gaming community platform built for neurodivergent gamers — autistic, ADHD, and allied participants who want structured social gaming, not a vague Discord invite.
We are not a legacy game studio trading on old credits. We are not pretending that hanging out in chat is the same as game development training — unless that is explicitly what your plan goals ask for.
We are:
- A website-first community — profiles, schedules, forums, and session history parents can see
- A homebrew retro arcade— browser-based SMS & Genesis titles you can actually play together (no pirated ROMs, ever)
- A Discord voice/text layer for live sessions — sync events, not the whole product
- A peer mentor model — trained young moderators (18+) who game, facilitate, and grow under proper supervision
Who we are not
| We do not claim | We do claim |
|---|---|
| To be a AAA game studio shipping commercial titles | To run structured gaming community participation |
| That Discord alone is a “platform” | That FutureVision.Live is the hub; Discord is one room in the house |
| Access to copyrighted commercial ROMs | Homebrew & public-domain games only, with documented provenance |
| That every hour online is “industry pathway” | Clear activity types mapped to your plan goals |
| Physical studio tours by default | Optional local meetups where safe, funded, and planned |
What a typical week looks like
Sessions are scheduled, staffed, and documented — not “go find the server.”
| Activity | Format | Example duration |
|---|---|---|
| Homebrew Arcade Night | Guided group on FutureVision.Live — play, discuss, rotate games | 2 hrs |
| Community Forum & Challenges | Async goals, screenshots, friendly competition | Flexible |
| Discord Voice Hangout | Moderated voice channel — teamwork, communication practice | 1–2 hrs |
| Creative / Dev Interest (optional) | Skill-building — simple game-adjacent projects | By agreement |
Exact hours and ratios depend on your NDIS plan, group size, and support level — we quote honestly before you start.
How this maps to NDIS goals
Support categories vary by plan. Your planner confirms eligibility.
| Participant goal (examples) | How FutureVision supports it |
|---|---|
| Social & community participation | Structured group gaming; moderated voice/text; turn-taking and teamwork |
| Communication skills | Voice session norms, forum posts, co-op homebrew play, facilitator prompts |
| Confidence & routine | Fixed weekly schedule, visible progress, predictable facilitators |
| Interest-based motivation | Gaming-native activities — not generic “life skills” dressed as fun |
| Carer respite / peace of mind | Website-visible schedules and session summaries; safeguarding policies |
Homebrew-only arcade — why it matters
Commercial ROMs create legal risk and trust risk. FutureVision.Live uses homebrew and public-domain titles only:
- Curated catalog — SMS & Genesis lane to start (Retrogamr technology)
- Each title has documented source (author, licence, download origin)
- No unknown participant uploads without admin review
- Parents and planners can see exactly what is being played
Safeguarding & quality
- Facilitators hold Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening where required
- Training: safeguarding, de-escalation, neurodiversity-aware facilitation
- Incident reporting pathway — parents/carers notified per policy
- No private DMs between facilitators and minors outside approved channels
- Abdul [Surname] — Operations Lead *(contact details on registration)*
Registered provider details, ABN, and complaint process inserted upon registration.
For parents & carers
Before you join, you get: a free discovery call; this written service summary; a platform walkthrough; and clear billing explanation. We will never pressure you to burn plan hours on activities that do not match goals.
Our promise in one paragraph
FutureVision.Live exists because gamers on NDIS plans deserve an honest, visible, gaming-native community — not a decade-old studio brand running chat rooms. We combine a real website, legal homebrew retro play, trained peer facilitators, and documentation parents can trust. We will not pretend to ship commercial games to justify your funding. We will show up, structure the session, and help participants build friendship, communication, and confidence through play — the way it should have been from the start.
